I think what's in the basement is the "secret" to creating more Titan Shifters.

Watta remember that parody you showed me the author made? Notice that Sasha wasn't there? She might gain the ability or maybe everyone else will since they have more motives to use the power (mikasa to protect eren, jean to avenge marco, christa x ymir etc etc
Or this is all wrong, who knows  

I do have a theory though that Eren's dad is where Annie, Bertholdt, and Reiner come from. It'd explain how he was able to inject Eren with something to make him a Shifter. Then again, Ymir "stole" the power somehow so idk.

I also have a Wall Cult theory but i'll save that for a bit.
