I need help y'all.
Could anyone here provide a suitable background for this stage? I intended it to be a stage inside a core/mainframe or something like that.
Also need suggestions for animations.

You could find a metallic piece that's tileable, or you could make your own in photoshop that would be suitable for it. I personally would erase that stair case and have the floor be similar to an elevator of sorts and have the tiled pieces with a negative velocity and moving upward or downward.

I might do that but I already made a elevator/train stage. I want to release something new.

Bad news about that WIP, I fucked up the floor.



It's only a minor setback, I can fix it but it won't look the same as that one.
If you zoom in closely at the floor just below the Giant Female center piece, you'll be able to see ugly black dots there. I hate it.

What do you guys think? Should I keep that floor? Are the black dots noticeable?

I thought it looked fine, I never noticed anything specifically out of the ordinary until you said something. Welcome back, Mark! I'm sure you'll figure it out.

Soooo....Me and Mark are gonna collab on this beast of a stage....

Here's how its gonna go.
1. Starts off as a slow train stage.
2. we get some dilapidated building passing every now and then
3. A cage suddenly rolls in as the stage BG moves slower and slower until...
4. We enter a factory. The stage has completely stopped at this point.
5. We then accelerate upwards at a good passe until
5 We move too fast and shit goes crazy, the factory explodes and typical Arnold Schwarzenegger stuff
6. We eventually make it to the top of the factory roof which shows a beautiful moon in the night sky.

So Mark will be doing the sprites. Most of them are done anyway. I'll be doing the coding. This whole thing will be hard to pull of BUT we ARE from NAM am I right? :wolfcool:

We can pull this off, It'll just take quite some bit of time though...and divine intervention

Hopefully we won't go crazy and make it a 100MB stage but it should be a good stage one once its done.

The statue or robot thing is atached to the floor?

Maybe you could add some kind of animeted shoting stars jus for a few seconds when you make it to the top of the stage.

In the part of the city maybe some spot lights or something since it seems that the stage is kinda darkish. or is inabitated and thats the idea?

Iam not exactly a stage maker/creator to make good sugestions sorry.

The ground you see in the preview is a part of the elevator/train or whatever you call it, the actual BG is a destroyed city, I'll add a preview soon.

Yeah Most of the stage will be BGCtrls. I understand them now so it shouldn't be too hard to make this, I just have to practice a lot y'know?

It'd be hard to pull off. But if you guys take a look at Exodus Train by Beximus it is pretty similar to your idea. you can study his code.

Wow, sounds epic! Yea, your absolutely gonna need bgctrl for this stage. Lol! So i guess the robot is gonna hover in the direction the train is going?

Well we could make it hover, but I wanted it to be held in like a stand, like how they dock the Gundams in hangers :P I'm working on a render for it that I'll give to mark >.>
