Joey Faust (also known as Team Faust Games) is a retired German character and full-game creator, whom despite essentially being the German version of Chuchoryu (i.e. has a negative reputation for mass producing characters at an alarming rate), is actually quite a solid character developer.

Now of course, when I say this, I am approaching his work with an open-mind and weighing all the limitations and options at his disposal, and looking into his work, you can tell he was actually dedicated to making accurate and semi-accurate characters, but also playing it safe by MOSTLY creating characters from games where there is no extreme sophistication in gameplay mechanics.

So, what makes Joey Faust stand out when compared to other creators that would mass produce characters?

For starters, he ended up more or less being the ONLY person to work on porting a wide variety of obscure and semi-obscure fighting games, beat 'em ups, platformers, and more.

Similar to what DXWho and Karl Otaku Alea do, he often ends up being the catalyst for showcasing games that you never expected to be in MUGEN, let alone even remembered.

Needless to say, he has made an absurd number of characters, I'd say probably around 50 or more, often being the only person to create every character from some obscure game.

So, what does Joey have to offer?

Well...

Pretty much anyone and everyone you could think of from some obscure or lesser known game, and then some.

Additionally, the special version (more specifically DLC Patch #4) comes with 2 TFGAF template characters to make your own, each with a wide variety of moves to mix and match... kind of like a Fighter Maker option.

He currently has 2 full game versions of his work, the Special and Final builds of TFGAF. The special build includes all the requested characters he was given through Patreon (such as Pokemon and stuff), the Final version comes with only the ones he original made on his own time.

All and all, there's a ton of characters from various franchises, so I suggest you download them all, that way you can experience a huge variety of forgotten media.
