Hell all creators and all here.

I need hlep with two fonction of Mugen 1.1

The two fonctions it's : Tensionlow and Tensionhigh
I want used it for my stages. Please someone can help me for used it correctly and not just do a copy paste.

If someone have already aske this question here.

Firstly, here is the official documentation on Tensionhigh/low:

Mugen 1.1 BG Elecbyte Docs wrote:tensionhigh = top_dist ; (Version 1.1 and higher)
This is the vertical distance a player can get from the top edge before the camera starts to follow.

tensionlow = bottom_dist ; (Version 1.1 and higher)
This is the vertical distance a player can get from the bottom edge before the camera starts to follow.


The use of the tensionhigh and tensionlow parameters activates a method of vertical scrolling based on edge tension introduced in Version 1.1.
If tensionhigh and tensionlow are specified, verticalfollow and floortension will be ignored.

So in other words, in mugen 1.1, Tensionhigh replaces "verticalfollow" and  Tensionlow replaces "floortension".

This may still sound confusing, so it would be easier to understand if you show us how you are trying to use it.
Show us some images/files of the stage you are making so we can use it in a real example and you can see how it works.

Hello and i can't believe it someone have answer me at that.

But I already know all of that me too I have the official document and before to ask help I try by myself.
And like you said, it's confusing because same if you read, read and read...
That's not help you to determinate how much you need to put for each functions.

So you can put a number just in hazard. But the author of Mugen add in official document : vertical scrolling based on edge tension. I'm not a programmer I don't know what's that's means.
But I'm sure there is a small calculation for that. and not a complicated one

Wy don't work on a neutral stage. I don't want show my stage until it's not finish at 100% That's my way.

Hello Tomoe

Your question is about help for zoom - but tensionhigh and tensionlow is nothing directly to do with the zoom feature in mugen 1.1.

Tensionhigh, is the same as vertical follow in mugen 1.0 and older.

But lets explain it in an easier way:

For example, lets use as a test, the value "tensionhigh=120"

When your character jumps, or is hit up into the air, or flies etc, it means that as long as the character stays 120 pixels away from top edge of your screen, the camera will not begin to move up and follow the character movement.

when the distance between your character and the top or "edge" your screen is less than 120 pixels, the camera will begin to move upwards and follow your character.

The higher the number, the more sensitive the camera will be and move up when you jump or fly or are hit into air etc.

tensionlow doesn't work like the words say.
