CVS2 might be my favorite fighting game ever. I'd love for Capcom to rerelease the game with updated balance. A man can only watch nothing but A-Groove Sagat/Sakura/Blanka matches for so long before he 's himself.

CVS2 was a good game. The first CVS was a mixed feel.
I think what really sealed the deal for CVS2 was the groove bar system improvements.
And it goes without saying, the roster.
It is nowhere near the technicality or depth of SFIII 3rd Strike, but the ability to pit mechanics from all of the various SNK franchises against capcom ones was what really made it even more fun.
Also the custom groove system that you get to unlock later on was equally fun times

I think if you drew Mugen as a giant piece of pie,
It would look like this cut into 5 pieces: MVC CVSNK Mortal Kombat KOF JUSmugen
And CVSNK used to be the biggest piece of the pie until 20 years past and all the old fans grew up.
It was a special game and a special time that if you were lucky enough to remember and live when it was new and fresh, then it will always hold a special place in you, kind of like if you were young when the first Final Fantasy 7 on PS1 was released. Its just one of those special games that influence a generation

The art style of CVS2 is really good, and I still like it today
