This project looks interesting to say at least. I was thinking of commissioning you guys editing the existing OHMSBY styled characters and giving them the Marvel Vs Capcom 3 treatment. I thought mashing the same button to do target combos were kind of redundant. I had the idea of having the characters have a light, medium, heavy, and a launcher button to perform aerial chain combos as well as grounded chain combos. The mechanics would be the same since OHMSBY already made a good system but the button layout would be the similar to M vs C 3. I will be following this project till the end.

Bro that would be epic idea for a commission, but also I know from experience it would be sooooooooooooo expensive and would probably take years for a mammoth task like that,,,,,

Just based on character commissions i had in the past, i would imagine that just creating the animation frames using existing sprites to account for 6 unique normal attacks per char alone would cost a few 100 each, and that's before even getting to the mechanics system to make them chain and stuff, and multiply that by a full roster and that's a car loan you would be looking at lol.
I find ironically graphical updates are far more bang for buck than gameplay ones.
Hopefully someone does redo all his characters to have a better playstyle in the future than the current

The idea was to make each character be a 3 button gameplay with just a light, medium. heavy, and a launcher which is technically the 4Th button. Basically similar to 3-button games like melty blood, undernight, Arcana Heart Dengenki Bunko, Marvrvel Vs Capcom 3 etc. Marvel Vs Capcom 1 and 2 has 6 buttons while the third game had 3 buttons and a launcher. I wasn't planning to commission a full 6-button character I instead make it simple with existing sprites and animation. I am not that crazy to commission newer animations and moves since that would cost a lot.
