The Newagemugen Doujin Music Thread
The Newagemugen Official Doujin Music Thread
Welcome to the Douijin Music Thread.
Ok first off you are probably asking the question, WTF is DOUJIN Music?
Well the short answer is, craxy Japanese fandom music, like the Mugen of Music but also not lol.
The Long answer (Quoted from various sources because im too lazy to explain it lol)
Doujin music (同人音楽, dōjin ongaku), also called otokei doujin (音系同人) in Japan, refers not to a genre persay....
Doujin are non-official self-published Japanese works which can be based on official products or completely original creations.
Such products are sold online on specialized sites, on the authors' own sites, and by bands (or doujin "circles") at events like the Tokyo Comic Market
This means that a lot of it is remixed songs from IPs similar to doujin art and comics (Touhou project in the case of Unlucky Morpheus).
However, there are some bands that use the doujin label that aren't in the otaku community.
You might also hear "doujin" used to describe any music sold at Japanese Comic/Doujin Markets,
however there are a number of indie labels selling at these events.
Doujin music generally crosses a few areas, such as the following (but not necessarily exhaustive)
Rhythm Game Music, such as tracks used in Beatmania IIDX, SDVX, maimai, etc
Utaite

Utaite
referring to singers who uploads to "utaitemita" (means tried to sing) category in niconico (like a Japanese Youtube)
it is basically singers who cover the original songs, many of them are vocaloid songs.
Arranges and Remixes
Arranges and Remixes
prime examples would be Touhou arranges and bootleg remixes of galgame/anime songs
Touhou fandom and Doujin Music basically go hand in hand
Doujin "Circles"
Which usually involves at least a composer and vocal credited (often there would be "arrangers" and "mixers" as well)
; it is when a group of people together produce an original song.
At the end, these people often sell in the main doujin music convention which holds twice a year, M3.

It is certainly not anywhere as large in scale as Comiket,
but it is certainly a place where the lovers would gather and buy CDs from their favorite artists.
