So I'm basically planning to recreate older stages, and make them 1.0(and 1.1 if you guy's think i should add zoom?) and add super jump to them.

I'm starting with mortal kombat stages, and moving from there. I'd always love any suggestions and feedback and apply it to the best of my abilities :)

so my first stage i've already started on the MK1 pit.

as you can see the stage is pretty high, there will be the little things that fly by the moon and such. I'm considering adding rain and more clouds towards the top, and probably my own little twist to each stage.

well, opinions and suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Well, the pit is basically finished for the most part. started on the throne room.

I'm not sure what to do with the pillars, If i had anyone who could redraw them, that would be great..

shang tsung's head follows the action (stolen code and edited sprites from a stage i had taken from one of the MKP compilations.)

An interesting plan.

For The Pit you should consider adding another layer of clouds and raise the moon. That much blank single color sky seems unrealistic, even for MK. You should consider making slight edits to the sprite to make their quality a bit better, recolors/redraws/contrast/etc if you're up to it, makes it more appealing.

Not really much I can say about the second except the background wall looking kind of like a copy-paste.

Hope you plan on doing more stages in the future, it's always good to see stage WIPS.

i added more clouds, I could easily add a bit more if it still looks too empty, I wasn't too fond of the way dissidia did the clouds in the remake of the pit, It makes it seem like the bridge is high up in the clouds, when in reality it's not supposed to be.

as for the other stage, I wasn't sure what to do with the top, I pasted and drew in parts so it wouldn't look extremely copy and paste. I such with redrawing things so I doubt I'd be able to redraw drastic parts, plus I plan for them to be basically identical to the original stages so I don't want to do too much editing to more main sprites.

moved on to the courtyard, I'm considering getting someone to edit the part above shang tsung into a triangle type shape so it doesn't just suddenly stop idk

but it's almost done just gotta animate the monks :)
