Hello Newagers, Moderators and Administrators. Welcome to the newest part of the forum, i'm using this section to give the team/staff their say about the forum without the view of the public eye, perhaps you've got some things you'd like to get off your chest within the comfort of the team, etc. This can also be used to discuss promotions and demotions to avoid public disagreements/arguments (like in the past) between staff in the future.


As you obviously know by now, I've returned recently, and to put things bluntly; i'm a bit disappointed as far as how mugen progress has been. Seems like the community (not just us) has been a bit lacking in the stage department. It's very unfortunate, I plan to try and do something about that with this new computer.

I want to consider another release pack. Since I originally planned 3.

We've done 2.

I can't say I was very happy with the result of 2's participants. I wish we could see some more from the team of Newage.

I'd like to hear what you guys have to say, I don't want to go around and make decisions without your awareness or approval. We're going to try doing things differently around here.


As far as Newagers go, I 100% realize real life is the number one obligation (considering i just returned from a many month hiatus) however, I would like Newagers to at least try and attend the chat, or work on some Newage content, or try and help bringing in some new members.

As far as the 3rd part of the release pack, i'm just spouting ideas i'm in no way shape or form stating it's being worked on.

I want to hear your piece of it. What do you think about the team? Do you think we should demote people, if so who? Do you think we should promote people, If so who? Let's be honest and get it all out and see if we can progress further to make some awesome content for the mugen universe like I know we can do.  

That we know that Part 3 will definitely take some time and brainstorming to do. I for one do want to return and collaborate on another pack. My other works aside, Miku extend, etc, I know you've been thinking on the Newage Mugen Screenpack that hasn't been worked on for years, and I do think we should try and finish it this time. With the ikemen lifebars, perhaps I have a concept for it now.

As for demotions, my demotion as Newager should go to Vegaz. No disrespect Vegaz really. He's an alright stage creator, but He has not been helping out the team as he's been releasing his works on his own.

I don't think Vegaz is a bad creator or a bad guy, but he hasn't really been that team involved ever, unless it's someone he wants to work with. Which is 100% understandable, not everyone can be forced to work together.

But I've never really seen him in the chat. I see him on the forum every now and again, he's a cool dude i wish he'd come around more and put a bit more faith in the team. As of now it seems like he's brushing us off a bit, again, no disrespect intended but I wouldn't be against a fair demotion to Super contributor or even Vip. Everyone has obligations, I understand that, if he has no time he can drop the rank right now and come back later on when and if he's up to it. No force, no stress, just trying to improve the state of the team.

That being said, it's some what of the same for Alpyne. He visits when he's got free time, but we haven't seen him in the chat in months, I know i'm not really one to poke at activity considering my hiatus, but i've been keeping contact with the staff/team as often as I could seeing how everything was going. I feel the same on Alp as I do on Vegaz.

Sadly the list goes on, I know D.O.W.X is busy with college, but as I've said above no disrespect, we'd love to keep 'em but we'd really like people that're more active to the community and the team. Whenever he finds free time, it'd be there waiting.

tl;dr: demotions for alpyne, D.O.W.X, and vegaz may be considered but not done until an agreement is reached, fairly and respectfully, with no disrespect aimed toward the authors, whenever they find free time they can come back for it.

Nice idea with this thread. I say we give them like a 2 week notice and see how it goes. If they still do not help out, then demote them. Nothing personal right? They can easily regain their rank if they start contributing more often...

That being said... am I contributing enough? I know I've been a retard for the most part but I'm trying to change for the better.

You see my brothers, the main problem with our activity is that we have so many damn projects that remain unfinished! It's not that we aren't doing anything, but it's that a lot of us just can't finish anything!

I have an idea which could solve this problem though. We could take turns and give in an unfinished stage concept once at a time to the NewAge Team. Then, we could decide who does what and allocate different jobs. That way, we make stages, finish up our old WIPs, become more solid as a working team, and everyone is happy with badass stages going around...

The third NAM pack sounds like a good idea but I'm just going to go ahead and say this ahead of time. It's going to take a long time to finish it since I have A LOT more school work IRL and a lot more responsibilities. If we went with my idea about sharing stages then I could help around, but I probably won't be able to make more than one stage for the pack if we all go solo

I'm not saying you have to release content constantly or be working on content constantly. All I ask for is that you're still contributing to the team. This doesn't have to be done by making stuff all the time, creation is only a factor of it, there's activity/chat visits/team feedback/stage or other creation testing/trying to bring in new members (promotion etc etc)/Thinking of ways to improve the way we do things.

You're the only member i've had to tell to calm down on posting and stop being so active, and besides that you're still enthusiastic about your spot (at least in my eyes) and you've been trying when you can. You don't have to post or create all the time to be on the team bro, remember that. You're doing just fine, you belong here and you'll be given time if it's needed.

If however you get busier IRL, have to leave for a number of months/years and quit posting/viewing/contributing to the forum at all or in very long periods of time then we'd be speaking of a demotion.

There's a difference between being gone a few days/weeks and being gone a few months/years lol.

I'm contemplating some members for the team, of course this only works if they're interested and willing to help us out. I wouldn't mind recruiting the following:

Excahm - If he attempts to "troll" us less and actually be a team member.

100SadPandas - Very chat active, very forum active, very enthusiastic about mugen in general, if we could get him on the team it'd be very cool, the only iffy thing about it is that he'd be the only character creator.

HungryWolf - I like what he's been doing, I've wanted to recruit him and make him NAM Fam for a while.

Oxe - He's declined it and doesn't want it, but I'm still keeping him in mind for the future as a team/staff member if he decides to participate.

Anti-11 - I know, but if he's mugen involved he's a great creator.

- I concur. Demotion of Vegaz, D.O.W.X, and Alpyne is understandable.

- Excahm has a lot of potential, but he's an ass hat. If a NAM Admin offers him the Newager position, will his ways change? Because he doesn't seem to take me too seriously, but he did ask me that he would really like to be a Newager. He wanted to learn. I think we should give him a chance, but we should also ask him to change his ways.

- 100SadPandas, I think we should add him in the group. Sure, he might be the only character maker right now, but he might be the first of many. Also, gen has character coding experience so there's that.

- Hungry Wolf? That shouldn't even be a question. I nominate him for Newager Position.

- Oxe? I don't think so. He's unenthusiastic regarding the position, so why should we even try? He also declined so there's that.

- Anti, he has so much potential, but he also has a lot of real life stuff happening right now, so I don't know. We could ask him to see if he'd like it.

I would also like feedback regarding my work ethics. I'd like to improve in areas where it is needed.

For mod: You've got access to the recycle bin, feel free to mess around with the mod abilities in there where it's private. You can get more used to them like that or something, not that there's a whole lot of modding that needs to be done anyways, but still it'd be good to get you familiar with that and have a very straight-forward idea of the rules here. You can always PM Diss or I, we're in contact 100% of the time so we'll help you.


For Newager: There's not a whole lot to say, I mean we're all busy, not many of us have been releasing stuff. It'd just be cool to get input from the Newagers, and have the Newagers help bring in newer activity.

Anti would be a good newager but he might decline due to IRL. I don't know though, he's got my vote if he's interested though :)

Also, I'll volunteer to be a mod if you need any. Although I can completely understand if you don't think that's a good decision since I'm still fresh lol

I think Excahm has the potential to be a great Newager. I worked with him on his stage WIP today for an hour or two and he was putting in some real good work IMO.

Wolf is cool, but is he really going to be cool with the idea of bunking into a team position and representing the team? He may just want to ride it out solo, so you never know.

Pandas is cool as well but it's the same above. I'll still give them both a shot and see if they would like to be on the team.

For the mod thing no, not a good time. We've got 2 mods right now and they're not even having much they can do moderation wise, unless they're coming up with ways to improve the forum.

I really think Wolf is going to be a really good team player once he's added/once he agrees to be one of us. There's just something about his personality that really pleases me when I talk to him.

As for Panda, he''s weird, but in a good way. He reminds me of Oxe. They're weird, but they're pretty acceptable. I also think that if we teach Panda how to make stages, he might follow through.

Perhaps we can have the Mod position rotate per month between the Newagers/the one who you think is best fir for the position, GLB. They might be able to help out and bring in new ideas for the site, or it can backfire badly and they just fuck up the site. I don't know. It could be interesting.

HungryWolf will be a nice addition on the team. We do need a 32 bit screenpack creator after all.

Pandas, even though he's very queer but not in a bad way, he's a pretty impressive spriter and it would be great if we have him on the team as well.

Vegaz we haven't received a word yet from him so far.

outside of RL chizz [especially over tha last 3 months], i've been tryna get a bit more hands-on with stage work & such, so my bad on bein' so absent. i'll be changin' that up tho, & becomin' more active again, both for NAM & R.O.K, to help bring both into a better state. i just wanna try & give a bit more to both factions [& tha mugen uni in general] than wha i have already. i kno i gotta get back to uppin' NAM vids [especially since i have 3-4 already that haven't been completed], as well as more BGM work. 1 thing i really have been thinkin' about is a NAM SP colab with Pach, Diss & myself, with me kuttin' an OST that'll be a bit different than tha norm for me, & that's thanx to Geebz & our TCB colab [my BGM mental has expanded even more since you challenged me to kut dubstep, of all things, lol], as well as other chizz for R.O.K.

anyhoo, bottom line is i'm ready to dive head-1st into alot of stuff; like i told my fellow R.O.K brethen, it's time for ya boi Alpyne to show & prove.

That sounds great, Alp. We'd love for you to come back and work with us/make some tunes and stuff. The team right now is not in a good place, having you return and be more active could really help the team.

If y'all plan to make another Newage pack i wouldn't mind adding in a stage or two this time.

Vegas should be demoted, i haven't seen him in chat or on the forum and imo he hasn't made anything i would really enjoy.

Excahm hasn't really made much but he does come to the chat room all time so he's fine.

Everyone else is fine too.

Realest should at least be able to share his side of what's been happenin'. i myself can say in this regard tho that we both should try to come around more, if only to just poke our heads in to acknowledge that we still function & such, & share some of what we've been dinkin' on [i need to consider either startin' a WIP thread, or join a current 1 here]. i don't believe that's an unreasonable requirement really.

What comes with the team is usually by default activity and team contribution. Being able to show up once in a while and even acknowledge that you're part of the team, heck, even work with team members if there's time that permits it. I know people are busy, but if there's a team spot involved activity should be no question, we invited Vegaz to come and share his side. I hope he can find time for us, if not he can respectfully step down and come back for it whenever he wants (when he's got more time.)
