So like. I was bored yesterday.
Making super simple stages for now

They're both half way done. I'm going to release them for 1.1 first then convert them to 1.0.
In the first one, there's animated water, a sun flare, and moving clouds (still implementing them).
I might add some BGCtrl Leaves too. It's a simple stage so I'm probably not going to add anything else.
The castle one will probably have shooting stars and something moving across the pond, and then I'll release a beta.

Right now, along with my GFX requests, I'm working finishing the skeletons in the closet.
1. Midnight Over The Concrete Jungle

+ Found better city background
~ Needs to be indexed and converted to 1.1 (I've done this before so it shouldn't take very long)
~ Might add some rising smoke, but this is still just an idea
Suggestions? I need some ideas for lighting around the stage, the train's carriage seems too dull.
2. Cypher Gate

Mark gave up on this stage so it's now my job to finish it. I've made all the necessary BGCtrl's but they will be tweaked a bit more. Since I can't make the fancy effects like Mark originally planned to, what I've got in mind is just some energy particles as well as some dust floating in accordance to the rest of the stage.
Right now the BGCtrl's are like this. The panel in the back starts off slow but gains speed (moving to the left). Eventually the middle panel also starts moving down and the evnshake increases from 1 to 2.5 for dramatic affect.
What I'm going to do now is this.
Change it so that the back panel moves to the left for 10 seconds and then slows down and stops. Then the middle panel starts up, goes on for 10 seconds, slows down and stops. This cycle will continue, and at the same time all the dust/energy particles will flow in the same direction as the panels are moving.
Any/all suggestions are welcome :)
I'll also post the update of the Abandoned Fortress stage once I start working on that also.

I don't like that it's grayscale now, i think it looks bad. Not a fan of the third concept only because of the gigantic robot in the background but other than that it's a nice WIP. I'm more interested in Cypher Gate and how you'll do with that, all 3 have great potential though.

This image is pretty good! But I see some errors:

Look at the green lines, its the perspective lines of the vanish point. The one at the center and the two close to it are ok, but the most distant not. All the lines must conect at the centre of the horizontal line in the middle of the image.
Now loow at the blue lines - they are out of place. The point where they join MUST be the same point where the green lines intersects, like this:

one last thing: that giant robot is cool, but since its huge, it needs to project shadow on the floor

Well, I'll see what I can do about the whole grayscale problem. I think it looks fine but I guess color would liven it up some more. What colors do you think would look good?

I'll have a good fix through that :)
The robot is actually at a good delta away from the whole main fortress floor so it doesn't need a shadow as it is far away. However, I intend to lower the overall depth of the stage so I'll be sure to add them shadows.

Okay I so tried implementing O Illusionsta's feedback. I know the ground looks off perspective but it'll be fine in-game since I'm going to put a parallax on it. It was the same deal wth the grayscale train stage but it also turned out fine so this should turn out similar :)

I could help you out with Abandoned NERV Facility if you want. It looks easy enough. I also have a video editing software again so yeah. I just kinda don't want to work with Cypher Gate because I think it looks horrible.
Some ideas for NERV Facility:
- Shadow cast by the shittier version EVA-02. Goddamn, I hate the Rebuild version so much, but I can't explain why. The render looks pretty good though.
- Replace the center of the floor with concrete and add the NERV logo there.
- Sun glare with long parts going from left to right, like the ones seen in Michael Bay's Transformer movies.
- Falling leaves (I still haven't seen the leaves from Rajaa's Satsuki)
