I will not be disappointed if this is what they have in stored, because Toonami first started off airing reruns of old shows and then gradually grew and added new stuff. Nobody has any reason to complain anyways, did you honestly expect them to get a whole lineup of anime that quick? lol Are you serious? Toonami Shutdown in 2008, basically 11 years of hard work came tumbling down, so it makes sense for them to start from scratch, and I understand AS/CN taking precautions to prevent another shutdown so they will see whether or not if it's worthy to expand the funding via high ratings.

My only issue is that they're starting from 2nd Gig with GITS. Personally I would have preferred them starting with the first season as they could have easily introduced it to newbies from the beginning and not the 2nd season but eh good enough!

Very good point. The second season is obviously epic, but starting from the beginning would be good for the "enlightenment" of the new generation. That, and I would love to see it from the beginning. And "The Laughing Man" is one my favorite(and weirdest) anime villians. Memories....(Vegaz slowly cracks a smile)

Right now, CN/AS has limited funding for Toonami, as this is in the "experimental" stage as it was when it first launched in 1997. I'm up for it.

But as for those who did a complete 180, they had their expectations set up way too high..
again, Toonami folded.. so if they ever wanted to come back.. it has to start from square one.
