I finally got a chance to read on some tuts and so I said to myself "Time to make a decent-ass Mugen stage".
So I decided to make a "Nacht der Untoten" Stage ... from CoD: WaW.
Here's the problem.



Well, I managed to fix the colorloss problem but here come another one.
I don't know how to center the stage. :|
And those black spots ... sucks.

Well, you know what happens when you leave a space without any sprite right, that weird thing ... well that's one of my problems + the floor.

Also press CTRL + L when you make a screenshot so it takes out the lifebar of the screen

Why you shouldn't code everything yourself in my opinion:

- Takes a lot of time
- Human mistakes can be made
- It's not fun, coding is not fun (for me)

I think the image he had was too small anyway in terms of high. I don't think it was even 480 so he would have had an empty space anyway under the characters.

He has to re-work the original image.

Or make it lores.

the original image is big enough though. I sent him a decent size hi-res version. (ok i will say it... i hate lo-res :lol!: )

Lol I don't blame you. This wouldn't be nice in lores.

Thanks alot to everyone who helped me.

you gotta quite a few things to learn to make it decent.

---> background elements (one is absolutely needed on the right, the wall...)
---> you can put some fog (a part of BG elements to learn about)
---> animations (at least the light/torch on the right pillar)

If you read this completly, once you understand it, there is almost nothing you can't do.

Personally I always found bounds to be from trial and error. Keep on going until the empty spaces are gone.
