Around 2013 I edited 2 of my characters into a new style. I also had a dream of playing as them in a full game or something. (I didn't actually "play" the game in my dream, I just saw an arcade cabinet that had images of them) I don't know why I named it as a sequel to my older "Sonic Speed Fighters" mugen, since its literally nothing like that one, but whatever.

Anyways what I aimed for was a pseudo-ish mvc kinda thing, but nothing complicated. 6 button, and there's air combo's and also parrying.

The characters are either from Sonic series, or inspired by it.

Before the credits, each character has their own ending, like a story or something. Some of these go nowhere. (Most of them are references to other sonic mugen's of mine in development or future content whatever)
When you download it, there's a "Move-list" folder, which should be self explanatory.

Congrats on completing a full game brotha.
When work/irl permits I’ll give it a test run.

Off the bat though just from what I can see I do have some aesthetic/presentation feedback but it can wait till after testin. Yeeeeeee.

my twocents:

Gameplaywise its ok
decent variety of characters - not too many but not too few.
Nothing mindblowing but no major bugs or anything hindering gameplay.
If you are into the miniature chibi fights or sonic or JUS i would say its a good base for a game
to be built upon.

Presentation is very lacking
visually it looks like a Winmugen plus game from 2007 with the fonts and stages you used and the style of the lifebars and screenpack stuff.
If that was the desired look for a specific reason then i guess thats a preference thing but considering that there are other Sonic fan games and many JUS fullgames out there with better looking screenpacks and stuff, it's enough to not make me wanna play purely for the quality of characters.

Its not jus, and no there are not other sonic fan games out there with screenpacks, those are shitty compilations that stole my characters specifically from my games. Also why do you say "Gameplaywise its ok" and then say "not make me wanna play purely for the quality of characters" Did you actually play the game or not?

I got me a chance to test this baby out today briefly and here's my review:

Pros
- Great OST
- nice little sonic tribute game
- The characters all felt like alot of work went into them for the sprites
- Hitboxes and clsns all seemed okey dokey on the few chars i tested
- Gameplay and mechanics provided a fun pseudo-mvc style playthrough which was fun

Cons
- Definitely the presentation needs an overhaul
- stages quite flat/lackluster
- HUD/timer/strange grey lifebar design is very dated and unaesthetic
- Fonts, vs menu screens, round animations feel like a cluster of old Winmugen screenpacks
- lack of features now available to us with 1.1 such as tag/combo announcers etc

My final verdict

Gameplay 7/10
- I went in not expecting insane features/mechanics so was overall happy with the experience.
Perhaps some more counter/guardbreak/clash systems would be cool and of course tag.
I would recommend using add004 for your future ventures or an udate

Presentation 3/10
- Unfortunately the aesthetics are a deal breaker for me. It's a shame because the game has a solid roster and potential but there's too many eyesores for my standards (i guess it's a Newagemugen thing lol we all set the bar high for graphics and presentation here lol). Although i liked the fact you incorporated some MVC2 hitsparks etc in the chars, I still feel there is massive room for improvement on all fields fromt he screenpack itself down to the char hitsparks/scaling stages etc.

But all in all a good effort and look forward to seeing your future projects & hope that helps bro
