All registered Newagemugen accounts are thereby conditional based on adhering to, and being subject to
the Newagemugen Community Rules, Terms & Conditions of Use Policy (updated 2020).
Disciplinary Action
Newagemugen forums, its CEO/Founder/Overseers/management staff/Administration/Moderators/Nominees specified by the CEO/Founder have the right to take ALL Necessary disciplinary action in relation to accounts/members engaging in prohibited activities specified in the Newagemugen Community Rules, Terms & Conditions of Use Policy (updated 2020).
Appeals
If you are subject to disciplinary Action as a result of alleged breach of the Newagemugen Community Rules, Terms & Conditions of Use Policy (updated 2020) and would like to open an appeal/dispute, you can do so via the Appeals thread link below:

Newagemugen takes no responsibility for:
- any personal grievances/inconvenience caused as a result of disciplinary action/s taken in relation to these terms.
- Providing explanation/notification for any disciplinary action/s taken in regards to breach of these terms
- lack of familiarization/non-acceptance of these terms after accepting these terms during account registration

NO LURKER/FAKE/SPAM ACCOUNTS:
RESPECT YOUR ACCOUNT & USE WISELY.
WE ARE NOT A MAINSTREAM MUGEN FORUM.
This is our strictest rule. Our staff actively enforce this rule 24/7.
- posting inappropriate information in the registration fields - Auto Account Deletion
- Just answering registration fields with "OK" or incorrect answers = Auto Account deletion
- Spamming/keyboard mashing (asdf asdf idk lol etc) = Auto Account Deletion
- Grammatical errors, incoherence/profanity = Auto account deletion
- Insufficient/Lazy/Troll answers ( E.G Location: Internet/your mom etc) = Auto Account deletion
- Multiple accounts = Auto Account deletion
- Non-personal accounts (e.g user accounts associated to a marketing campaign/community group/website & not actual users = Account Deletion
- Alternate accounts = Auto Account deletion
- Alias accounts = Auto Account deletion
- Spelling mistakes during registration = Auto Account Deletion
- Spoofing location/false location information = Auto Account deletion
- Ban Evasion (Bans are extremely rare here but regardless) = Auto Account deletion
- Including dead links/erroneous urls/false youtube acc links during registration = Auto Account Deletion
We cannot emphasize the importance of understanding this more.
Newagemugen is a Semi-public/semi-private Mugen community that has been operating almost flawlessly since 2005.
Our rules have remained almost unchanged, which is a key to our longevity and success.
As they say, "Don't fix what isn't broken".
Newagemugen is an exclusive community built by the best, for the best.
Our registration process doubles as a psycho-analysis/personality/IQ test.
It is designed to be intrusive, annoying, tedious & overkill & has an 85% failure rate.
This is to ensure we only let the select few into our community.
Productivity-focused members with the right mindset, work ethic, intelligence, and a positive mental attitude and optimistic, friendly personality.
There are already plenty of casual Mugen websites for shit-posters, beginners, casuals and lurkers. At Newagemugen, we like to GET THINGS DONE.
Newagemugen respects & acknowledges that all Mugen Forums have their own rules/policies in regards to Membership & moderation.
As a self-sufficient community completely funded & managed by its core members, we reserve the right to manage our community as we see fit.
We do not involve ourselves with other Mugen communities, nor do we offer any thoughts/opinions regarding matters outside of our own community.
To avoid potential disappointment/confusion, please do not misunderstand Newagemugen for a generic Mugen forum

This applies to both our forum and discord as does every other rule.
During your new account registration, Answer ALL questions in punctuated, fluent English clearly, properly, and honestly.
Do not register in a fraudulent manner. Choose your username WISELY - Use common sense.
Do not use fake/burner email addresses or bot accounts.
Do not type spam/fake/fraudulent/repetitive text in the registry fields, your profile, or anywhere on our forum.
Be active, social, contribute, share opinions, talk, offer feedback, share things you like in gaming, mugen topics etc.
Accounts that fail to adhere to this will be automatically deleted.
- ENGLISH/JAPANESE REGISTRATION/POSTING ONLY:
- Until advised otherwise, this is an English/Japanese language supporting forum only - registration, and all posts on this website must be in English/Japanese.
We currently only offer multilingual support for Japanese and English.
We cannot moderate or provide support for other foreign languages currently.
Do not register in other languages or post in other languages or your account and posts will be automatically removed without warning.
We apologize for any inconvenience & will look into other international language support in the future.
- WORD IS BOND. RESPECT IS EVERYTHING:
- Self explanatory.
You are responsible for everything you say.
Only share credible information. Don't lie, spread disinformation, or make questionable claims without credible sources.
Don't be a dick and/or asshole.
Do not respond/quote other members with non-productive rhetoric or comments.
This includes A-typical degenerate forum behaviour such as White knighting, "Big Broing", Gatekeeping, Trolling,
A-typical rhetoric such as "Bro chill out, calm down, shut up, stf u, homophobic slander etc
Do not argue publicly with senior staff or fellow members under ANY circumstances.
Don't insight arguments.
Don't troll, start flame-wars, bully, belittle others, rant, direct offensive/abusive slander at other members.
There are plenty of other websites that accommodate that behavior.
Swearing is OK but try and minimize unnecessary profanity.
When giving feedback, we encourage honesty but direct it at creations and the creation process and not creators.
Give polite and constructive feedback.
RESPECT is key. Not just here, but in all walks of life.
Failure to follow these rules regardless of circumstances will result in account removal and potential perma-Ban without warning/explanation.
- NO ILLEGAL/DEGENERATE BEHAVIOR:
- Use Common sense.
- don't link to warez/torrents, illegal deep web/Mariana web/onion/tor sites
- don't infringe copyright/s, promote/sell contraband, etc.
No Antisocial Behavior.
Do not harass existing members inside/outside the Newagemugen community.
Do not engage in defamatory activities/insight drama/publicize personal grievances with Newagemugen forum or it’s members.
Auto-ban & possible legal action will be taken against users that post content depicting the following:
animal cruelty/rape/racism/murder/suicide/weird sexual shit/shock material.
Also, be warned we are not so tolerant of:
Furries/Bronies, hentai/lolita material, eroticism, pornography, sexual game content or any explicit and questionable fetishism media/imagery.
Use common sense
- R.P.P.P - Respect & Protect Personal Privacy:
- Newagemugen, it's forum moderators and founders stand strongly by the belief that Internet anonymity is a right -We DO NOT condone or recommend sharing personal information online in any shape or form. Be cautious posting any personal information about yourself that you may regret. Furthermore, do not share other peoples personal information without their consent under ANY circumstances.
Newagemugen forums & it's Administrative Team have exclusive access to sensitive user information (forum usage statistics, demographics, audience, user retention and more) managed through google analytics and other statistical site management tools.
This data is used purely for the purpose of managing our community and promotional activities.
To protect the privacy of our members & the community in general Newagemugen DOES NOT share/sell/supply/discuss ANY details regarding statistical site data with the public/non-staff under any circumstances whatsoever.
Do not PM other members/staff requesting DL links, or mugen content unnecessarily. If you have mugen questions or content requests, post them in the help/request thread. Manage your PM inbox wisely - When inbox reaches Max capacity, you wont receive new messages until older ones are deleted. This applies to Discord accounts also. DONOT spam PMs to other members, or contact individuals regarding matters or questions that can easily be asked publicly in relevant threads. Asking everyone a question at once is more practical than annoying multiple people with the same question individually. Common sense.
- Use the Forum LOGICALLY.:
Again, use common sense.
Don't derail topics.
Post in the correct sections.
Donot Post Ikemen/Mugen CLone engine related content in the Mugen section - we have separate forum areas for both.
Do not discuss Mugen commission related activity via private messaging/engage in profiteering activity for personal financial gain.
Don't necrobump old topics (6 months non-response or more is old unless there is a damn good reason).
Explain yourself clearly and properly and use the English language as it was intended.
Don't request things outside of the request thread.
Don't double/triple post when you don't get an answer to a question.
Also be aware that Newagemugen, unlike other mainstream Mugen forums, is not a Beginner/Help/tutorial-focused community.
Only ask for Help if you have posted the same questions on all other mugen forums and discords and have not recieved an answer atleast one month.
Remember that Aunty Google is your friend so ask her before asking someone else.
- Donations only. NO M.U.G.E.N Profiteering:
- Self Explanatory. Not only one of our oldest rules, it is also an ethical code accepted widely throughout the majority of the greater M.U.G.E.N community.
Do not try to sell M.U.G.E.N or use it as a means for illegal/unethical financial gain.
DO NOT conduct personal business activities/exchange goods/services/e-commerce/solicitation either on, or via this forum.
Do not discuss Mugen commission related activity via private messaging/engage in profiteering activity for personal financial gain.
All Commission related discussions must be made publicly to avoid any misunderstanding/insidious/suspicious/illegal activity.
In regards to requests for specialized private MUGEN creations/advice, among fellow registered Newagemugen club members, donations can be made directly to Newagemugen forums, and ONLY to Newagemugen forums as a token of appreciation relevant to said work based on recommended commission remuneration providing both parties mutually agree & understand this to be voluntary on both parties part, by their own will & intent, and only for the purpose of the overall Newagemugen community longevity & wellbeing and not as an exchange of goods and/or services under any circumstances.
Members are permitted to use the MUGEN beginners guide to commissions purely as an example and indicator of a project size/cost in a theoretical commercial sense, however it is ABSOLUTELY forbidden to exploit this information or attempt to use it as a personal method of conducting business activities, and/or solicit payments in exchange for goods and services via personal revenue streams/e-commerce money services/wallets etc.
In summary. Newagemugen DOES NOT ALLOW any exchange of goods/services/financial activity other than non-obligatory Donations from club members by their own intent & will. Failure to adhere to these rules will result in permanent removal for the community and legal action where applicable depending on the nature of the activity in question.

- No stealing/leaking M.U.G.E.N content:
- Self Explanatory. The oldest Mugen Community Rule on the internet. If you need a definition of what leeching/stealing/leaking then you shouldn't even be here.
- No Spring-boarding/Phishing/Pay walling/Link Scamming:
Do not use Newagemugen as a springboard/for spring-boarding under ANY circumstances.
"Spring-boarding" refers to any activity that invites/forces/redirects a member/audience/user to follow external links/register accounts on external services/sites/servers in order to gain access to content.
Do not post downloads in the release section/featured artist sections without including direct download links.
Do not springboard members off the forum for personal gain/to promote/support others. Newagemugen already has many great services available to help promote and support our forum members that you are more than welcome to take advantage of. please respect other members by making things easy for them in this regard.
Do not attempt to hijack the Newagemugen user-base via private messages/self promotions for the sake of building your own external following.
Newagemugen is s a 100% self-sufficient, internally funded community.
Newagemugen Promotes its members and their content more than any other Mugen community.
We offer Google Analytics services/Search Engine Optimization, the Newagemugen Cinema Network, Youtube shout outs, Featured artists sections, Discord announcements, Promotional banner art material and more.
- Follow the Avatar/Signature guidelines:
- Compared to other mugen forums we allow larger than normal Avatars/Sigs.
The maximum signature size is 900px wide by 260px high.
The maximum Avatar size is 191px wide x 255px high.
Posting URLs to external websites/youtube pages etc is fine.
Do not post Youtube video windows in your Signature - Use Mugen Cinema to promote your channel/videos.
Any Sigs/Avatars outside these guidelines are automatically resized or removed completely by our website database periodically, so please be aware of this.
